People often say of the police, "Haven't They Got Anything Better To Do?" In Beverly Hills, the answer is "NO!" Ask George Michael.

This episode is priceless funny. And it was YEARS before Georgie in the park, Axel F., the Slap Happy Hungarian, or even her colorful husband Prince Von Anhalt! The biggest thing thing they had to deal with then was 16 year olds showing up at Charlie Chaplin's house demanding money!

Valet in Court on Vagrancy Charge

Henry Peavey, 40, of 127 1/2 East Third street, who found the body of William D. Taylor, famous motion picture director, found murdered in his homeat 404B South Alvarado street, was scheduled to go to police court yesterday afternoon to face a charge of social vagrancy. Peavey, according to Patrolman S. G. White, was arrested, charged with being lewd and dissolute in Westlake park a few hours before his employer was murdered. Taylor, it is said, bailed the negro out. His case was taken off the calendar after Taylor's death. No date was set for the trial.

This place... where to begin? Maybe I'll start with something that nobody else has mentioned: this is a one of LA's strangest gay bars. After passing it several times and hearing good things, I told some friends to meet me here on a Saturday night. Before I got there, one of them texted me, "Did you know this was a gay bar?" I was skeptical until I arrived to find every patron armed with a Y chromosome and an opinion about whether the London production of "Les Miserables" was superior to the New York.It looks like your uncle's rumpus room did after he remodeled it in the eighties. Lots of oak cabinets, blue carpet, and a mural of England on the wall (?). The only difference between it and your uncle's rumpus room is probably that there's no L'il Wayne lookalike making out with an old dude in the corner. It was also aggressively decorated for Christmas. The piano player did a range of carols and show tunes, for some of which he worked in his own lyrics about tampons and liking Hamburger Helper shoved up his ass.

We and our friends don't like the Piano Bar at all. We like a laidback atmosphere, but this place is definitely not one of the best. And talk about the bartenders and some of the customers. We heard some negative stories about the bartenders. Some people there are just plain rude. And there's alot of fighting going on. Stay away from the male bartenders. Some of them aren't customer friendly or are angry looking & cold-hearted. It seems a little skeezy there. This bar is definitely not for the ladies either! There were times we heard yelling going on with a former bartender there. And some of the guys there are just plain nasty looking. It's more of a place for gay convicts. It's a little intimidating to walk into or look into when you pass by. It's like they're trying to hide their trashiness with fake class.
